Katie Price has been in the spotlight since her career began at the age of 17. She is a TV star, singer, designer, author of three books that have enjoyed record-breaking sales, and the subject of countless newspaper stories regaling everything from public feuds with rival celebrities to her $4-million-plus deal to design lingerie. Katie has been featured in the pages of the world’s most popular magazines and has amassed a legion of fans, both male and female, who are drawn to her strength and fearlessness as well as her beauty.
The pair’s first child together, named Junior, was born June 13, 2005, and Katie and Peter were married in a fairy-tale wedding at Highclere Castle in Berkshire on Sept. 10 of that year, in a wedding that was estimated to have cost $3 million and was attended by 350 guests, with all the British press trying to get a glimpse of them on their big day. Though the British press has often been quick to judge them in print, there is much more to Katie and Peter than meets the eye. A single mom when she met Peter, Katie’s five-year-old son, Harvey, was born blind and with many other illnesses, and he requires frequent hospitalization and ongoing medical care. Katie and Peter put the care of their children above all and are fiercely committed to family life, despite their public image. Katie is now pregnant with the couple’s second child (her third), due this summer; however, she and Peter remain extremely watchful of her health and safety following a much publicized miscarriage in July 2006.
Peter Andre
Born in London and raised in Australia, Peter Andre rose to international fame in the 1990s. He’s the only Australian male solo artist to have had seven Top Five hits and is the first-ever Australian male musical artist to debut at number one in the U.K. Beginning in 1994 with “I Feel You,” Peter has continued to ride a tidal wave of popularity ever since, logging two more Top Five hits as recently as 2004 and playing to sold-out audiences throughout Britain, including the famous Wembley Arena. He has performed on numerous installments of the hugely popular U.K. show Top of the Pops.
